About Dana Paik-Simerly

Originally from the Midwest, I have called the Puget Sound area home for over 12 years. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LH61102837) and supervisor in the state of Washington. I earned my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Bastyr University in 2017. Previous to becoming a therapist, I was a community-based herbalist and I have been in the helping fields for over twenty years in a number of roles and settings. ​

In therapy, my style is warm, grounded, and collaborative. I’m especially interested in helping people build a kinder relationship with their inner world, which is informed by mindfulness, somatic, and relationally-based approaches. That mostly means we’ll slow things down, get curious, and listen to what your mind and body are trying to say.

Outside of session, I am found spending time with my family, maintaining a meditation practice, nerding out about plants, reading fantasy, and playing music.
